dp_herbie2_fix2Wednesday June 17, 2015

From Miles Davis to DJ Q-Bert, Herbie Hancock’s influence on popular music stretches far beyond any one genre. His live performance of “Rockit” on the 1983 Grammys is legendary. It not only brought Hip-Hop into living rooms across America it was the first to ever feature a DJ (Grand Mixer DXT). Borrowing elements from Funk, Soul, World, Electronic, and of course Jazz Herbie has composed some of the most innovative and most sampled music of the last four and a half decades.

What better way to pay tribute to this living legend then by bringing in Mark De Clive-Lowe…one of todays contemporary masters?
